MARTHA WHATLEY is a graduate of the Goldsmiths Creative & Life Writing MA programme, where she put the bones of a novel to one side in favour of writing short stories. A former music journalist, Martha spent a number of years working in America and has since returned to England, trading the city for the country. Her short story ‘Dogsbody’ was included in the Ink Academy’s Collection of New Writing Anthology. She lives in the southwest with her boyfriend and an invisible cat, who they are waiting to adopt
