PAUL JONES
‘Patterdale’

The GBP Short Story Prize 2017/18 is currently open to submissions. While it is, we’ll be revisiting last year’s fantastic longlist- and shortlistees, with links to their work.

Our fourth finalist, from the 2016/17 longlist of 13 authors and shortlist of four, is Paul Jones.

PAUL JONES trained as an actor and worked in theatre, radio and film for twenty years. He later studied creative writing with the Open University and Manchester University, and has had stories published in Crazy Oik, The Alarmist, and the Manchester Anthology. He was recently commissioned to write a play for young people about radicalization. Civilized focuses on white nationalism and will tour the UK later this year.

Paul’s longlisted story, ‘Patterdale’, can be accessed here, and you can read his three questions with us here.
