‘Chicken shit’

The GBP Short Story Prize 2018/19 is currently open to submissions. While it is, we’ll be revisiting last year’s fantastic longlist- and shortlistees, with links to their work.

Our fourth finalist, from the 2017/18 longlist of 10 authors, is Ashley Goldberg. 

ASHLEY GOLDBERG is an Australian writer. His fiction has appeared in Tincture Journal, Blue Monday Review, Offset Journal, F(r)iction, Award Winning Australian Writing 2016 and a number of other journals in Australia, North America and the United Kingdom. His competition shortlistings include: the Newcastle Short Story Award, the Alan Marshall Short Story Competition and the Margaret River Short Story Competition. In 2015, he was awarded the Maribyrnong Excellence in Creative Arts Award for his fiction. He has a Graduate Diploma of Professional Writing from the University of Canberra and an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University where he graduated with a distinction in 2017.
