EIMEAR McBRIDE trained at Drama Centre London. Her first novel, A Girl Is A Half-formed Thing, was published by Galley Beggar Press in 2013 and won a number of awards, including the Goldsmiths Prize, the Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction, and the Desmond Elliott First Novel Award. She occasionally writes and reviews for the Guardian, the TLS, and the New Statesman.
